Serving the least of these, since 1972

You can help Real Life Ministries build for eternity by partnering with our house building ministry.

Las Tres Palmas, a ministry of Real Life Ministries, focuses on helping build homes for the homeless in Mexico.  Not 90 minutes from San Diego beaches, thousands of Ensenada residents lack basic shelter and four walls to call home. Under the direction of Dennis Hollenbeck, RLM seeks to alleviate this problem, one home at a time.

Since 1996, RLM has built sturdy homes for more than 400 families.  The homes are built by teams sent from partner churches in the United States and Canada.  Each home costs approximately $3,500 and takes one week to complete.  During the week, the teams hold daily Bible Clubs for children. We build for eternity – join us!

FAQs
Can I help build?

Yes! Depending on the makeup of your group, there are two options for partnering with us. First, anyone with a drill and a smile can participate in our Home Building Project. These projects require no special skill, strength, or experience. In fact, many of our volunteers have no prior construction experience. Second, if your group has lots of prior construction experience, we can use your skills to assist with more difficult projects.

How long does a home building project take?

Generally, a home building project takes 4 days to complete.

What if I don’t know how to build a house?

Come anyway!  Many of our volunteers have no construction experience.

What is the cost?

For a group of fifteen, a five-day trip costs approximately $6,000.  This cost includes room, board, and the cost of the building materials (currently $3,500, though subject to fluctuation).

Do I need a passport?

Yes.  Passports are required to gain re-entry into the United States.
